My Dead Bones Live This week I witnessed an army of dry bones live. Youth, staff and church leadership from several churches, cities, states and denominations came together in one mind, one heart, one spirit and one voice to proclaim Christ is Lord over our lives, our families and our communities. I never imagined that I would see such hunger,...

Where the Spirit of the Lord is As I seek clarity for the final service of this camp, I am reflecting on all God has done this week in the lives of these campers and staff. Back at Camp I arrived here in Missouri and immediately was filled with excitement, not just at the privilege to be here and reconnect with good friends, but at what I believe God is going to do this week. It been a few years since I was at youth camp, so I came up a day early to acclimate and work through any anxieties before the week...

The drought is over - July 2010 Update We may never understand all God's ways, purposes and dealings with us in this life; however, we will definitely see, feel and taste the results of His hand. The key is what posture will we take when Father is leading us through the valley or desert, in times of famine or drought? Will we react, most likely, or will we respond,...

My Dead Bones Live

Category : Missions, Youth

This week I witnessed an army of dry bones live. Youth, staff and church leadership from several churches, cities, states and denominations came together in one mind, one heart, one spirit and one voice to proclaim Christ is Lord over our lives, our families and our communities.

I never imagined that I would see such hunger, brokenness and deliverance take place each night and with ever increasing power and intensity. Those who attended the 2010 Central District Pentecostal Church of God youth camp were met by their Sovereign Lord and Creator, were changed by the POWER of the Holy Spirit, and are released to go do life and Kingdom where ever they find themselves.

I am forever changed by this experience. I came to pour out as I am poured through, and end up being emptied out and refilled. I leave here no longer a pile of dead and dry bones. The Spirit of the Lord has spoken the prophetic Word, and a fresh breath of His anointing has restored life in me. Now I can BREATHE.

As I pack out to drive back to Texas, I am hopeful for my future, my family and this ministry. This generation and the ones to come will be influenced by the ripples produced from this camp. Thank you to all who prayed and agreed with me over this camp. God did DELAY or DISAPPOINT.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is

As I seek clarity for the final service of this camp, I am reflecting on all God has done this week in the lives of these campers and staff. Last night we were in service for 6 hours. That’s right 6 hours.

The Spirit of the Lord moved on the place and we witnessed God heal family relationships, deliver youth and adults from sexual sin, failing marriages, physical abuse, addictions and the bondage of bitterness. No one left who needed healing, deliverance and restoration. I asked a rhetorical question in yesterdays post about how much more of Gods glory can the human body endure. He answered with, as long as they are hungry and thirsty for my glory and righteousness, I WILL FILL THEM.

So I go into tonight’s service with absolutely no human words, intellect or direction. I am only compelled to be hungry and thirsty for more of His glory, in my life and the lives of the youth and staff. I am confident the Holy Spirit will not disappoint and we will be most satisfied as He is MOST GLORIFIED.

Will you agree with me in prayer for tonight? The lives of many of these youth and staff hang in the balance. They have been set free, FREE INDEED, and where the Spirit of the Lord is…THERE IS LIBERTY & FREEDOM.

Not of this World

This is day 3 of camp, and I am filled with excitement and expectancy. The last 2 nights were amazing and God met the students here.

Sunday night, I spoke on breathing the promises and calls of past camps and encounters with the Lord. Then the team ministered to every youth and adult who believed they are called into ministry. The spirit moved among us to declare those promises anew, speak encouragement and confirmation, and cover them with peace, confidence, patience and perseverance.

Last night was special. The Spirit moved on the youth during worship with absolutely no prompting from man. They fell on their faces crying out, weeping and pouring out of themselves to Father. The Lord did NOT need us or our agenda to touch them. I spoke on not being of this world and defined by our culture. Our culture is “American Christian” and not Christ Kingdom. Since there was already a response to the Spirit at the beginning, I was not compelled to repeat so we just glorified God in praises and the Holy Spirit moved again upon the place.

The place erupted in spontaneous worship and was filled with his presence. Youth and adults were falling to their knees & faces all over. I was ministered to and several things were broken, released and confirmed in my life, family and ministry.

I’ve never seen a youth camp like this one. Traditionally it takes 2 days for the youth to be broken before they are even open to the move of the Spirit, but they came broken, sensitive and prepared to meet God. This generation is tired of playing church as we know it and truly hungry to follow Christ. The
kingdom of darkness is in big trouble, if camps and churches around the country begin to drop the traditional church shackles and walk in the freedom of the Spirit they were created to walk in.

We still have 2 more nights. How much of God’s glory, presence and Spirit can an earthly body endure? We are about to find out. God told Moses in
Exodus, “No man can see my face and live.” These youth have died to self and culture, and the Spirit of the living God is breathing life into these dead and dry bones. Oh what a mighty army of Christ followers that will be released into this world. “Get Ready, get ready, get ready”, as T.D. Jakes would say.
